Default '01 LS1 Idle RPM ?

I just want to know at what RPM a 01 Z28 is supposed to idle at...I know with my 1999 M6 it idles at 800 when it warms up, is it supposed to be the same for an 2001 A4 car? My mom had a motor replaced under extended warranty with a brand new long block LS1 and it just doesnt seem to idle high enough to me. When warm it idles at 600 and when put in to gear falls to 500...

Thanks,

Drew

Its not uncommon though to raise the idle when you get into LT headers, stalls, and cams for the A4.

My idle in gear is set to 625 I believe with my mods in sig.

yeah you basically have to when getting inside of the engine as it's not as efficient as it was when it was stock, when i had my ms4 long time ago i had mine idling about 925 and loping like a bitch still (i know now that you can get that cam to idle at even lower, like 800, rpms)

Here is a screenshot of the stock A4 idle table for those that may be interested. Idle speed will vary with whether A/C is on/off, whether the transmission is in Drive or Park/Neutral and Coolant Temperature:

Yeah because "2 cams are better than one"...thats why my Polaris Predators motor is better than my LS1

So whens the HOSS and the SOMSS going to take some pictures together? Pretty sure the only one I have is from Street Machine Nats...
