Default Tail lights question w. pics

K I need some help...

The light all the way to the left stopped working, it's like a running light? It's the little one pictured that's completely black and burnt out. The other one I think I go the model number off the original bulb... I think it's a syl. 3155? What's the running light and can anybody confirm that. Both advanced auto parts and auto zone sold me the wrong bulbs :S It's so hard for me to get there before they close too, coming in on the train boo

Anyways here are the pics... oh and I took a pic of the newest roof in the midwest (had a new roof put on due to bubbles)! It's so shiney you can see dust particles on it, it's insane.

So basically I just need model numbers of the running light? and the reverse bulb.. oh and once I get those unclipped from the actual light kit how do I remove the bulb from the assembly? I could probably figure it out messing with it but this car cost me a fortune and i'm scared to start breaking things

I appreciate any help, Ryan.

Brb I'll take a pic of the actual kit I have, I know they vary.

There is no 3155, but there is 3156. Go back to Advance and tell them specifically you want a pack of 3156 bulbs and no bulb grease. And don't worry the old bulbs just pop right out. Tug on them a 'lil.

The little bulb is a 194.

How the hell did autozone and advanced screw that one up? that is one of the most commonly used automotive bulbs...I used to work at an auto parts store years ago and I can't believe the idiots they hire.

OMG they gave you 1156's????

I think my '79 Z28 used those.

Actually those 3057's they gave you will work for your tail/brake lights.

3057/3157 Double filament can be used for the tail/brake light
3056/3156 Single filament can be used for turn signal and reverse lights
194 is the small bulb used in the tails

Forgot to add...just got to Walmart for those bulbs, parts stores are a rip off for little things like this.

Why would you not use dielectric grease?

I wouldn't use it because I think the connection is actually harmed, but that's just my opinion. The real reason I said that was because with the part's places, they like to use Suggestive Selling, and to me, I need to save all the money I can.
