Default Manual to Automatic Question

I'm replacing my '00 LS1 with a '02. The '02 Motor has a pilot bearing installed into the crank end as it was from a 6 spd car, does it have to be removed or can I leave it in place without it interefering with the converter snout?

Leave it, shouldn't cause any interference problems.

Awesome, I planned on checking the fit when I get it out this weekend, but thought i'd check first and see if maybe someone had done it before. I'm trying the get the motor prepped throughout the week so it's hopefully a smooth transition.

Thanks!
