Default ls1 conversion q's

well im all set on my upcomng ls1 conversion. 95 v6 to 2000 ls1 motor! now i just need to figure out what rear end i should use. should i gear it myself? i heard power trax is ok...or should i just get a z28 or ss rear end? help! what rear end do i have now? 7 1/2 10 bolt?

Yes you have the 7.5 10 bolt and more than likely 2.73s if it was an automatic

i want posi rear...also disc brakes...can i convert without swaping the complete rear end?

The rear used in the V6 cars is the same as the V8 cars strength wise. Being you have a 3.4L V6 it probably has something better than 2.73 gears, but because you want disc brakes and the posi I would just swap the whole thing. It's going to cost way more to upgrade the one you have than a good used rear will cost.
