00-02 have larger cams than the 98/99 ones.

basically an 00-02 will work on your car, but not a 98/99

any idea why they have smaller cams?

and what could i expect out of a set of stock ls6 heads? would it be better to sell them and get a set of patriot heads?

the cam on the 98-99 is smaller and makes it reach WOT faster

I like the feeling of a 98-99 cam better. Car is more responsive to my foot.

Im wondering if it had something to do with the LS1 intake maybe being a tad longer thus (smaller cammmed TB) for the cables and the 00-02 bigger cammed TB was used on the LS6 intake thus was needed a bigger TB cam to take up the slack in the cables????verses GM changing out all the cables on ther F bodys, Just a thought here

the ls1/ls6 are the same dimensions.

the ls6 intake came on 2001+ f-cars, not 2000.
