Default What were your gains after a Tune?

Thinking its about that time to get a real tune, on the dyno. Ive been doing my own tuning with HP tuners but i think its time to face reality and let the professionals tune it on a dyno. Im just wondering, what were your gains before and after a dyno tune (or just a tune)? I know its going to vary by what kind of mods you have, and that not everyone is the same, but i just wanna know.

With a cam, the gains will be huge.

I'd wait to get a tune until you get at least a cam or a stall. Otherwise the gains aren't really worth the money.

$500 for 10+rwhp. If you asy that's ot worth it. More HP with more mods. I have seen headers on a car add nothing until tunned. Then you are talking 25-35rwhp for the $500 tune.

Wait until you install the cam and then tune it cause you will gain more.

Well he doesnt have a cam, hes just wondering what his numbers will go up by. Why does everyone post random useless input? He wants to know with his mods what the tune will do.

I get mine dyno tuned on the 15th. Ill post up info then.

well according to his sig he does have a cam....

anyway. my car picked up over 40rwhp with a tune. if you have done a little bit of tuneing on your own, you will probably still get another 15-20hp by getting a good tuner to dyno tune it.

Uhm, OP's sig says "comp 224" and "3500 stall". I think that means he has a cam and stall converter.

Yeah I was starting to wonder why everyone started saying "I wouldn't get a tune until you get a cam and a stall" since your signature says Comp 224 and 3500 stall lmao.

But yeah, unless you are planning on adding more "big" mods in the near future, I would DEFINATELY get it tuned. Probably gain upwards of 20-25 rhwp. Some have gained more...

i'd say you're ready for a tune.. probably see 15-30rwhp. the car doesnt run right with a bigger cam and no tune lol.

I guess I didn't notice your mods in the sig although I thought I checked

Anyways......yes a tune would help you greatly especially with matching shift points with the stall and cam.
