I have a close to stoc k2000 T/A, and i raced a C5 corvette 3 times, and i beat him all 3 times!! Is this normal, or do i have more HP and TQ than i thought?

no its normal a lot of the stock c5 non z06 vettes didnt run so strong especially from a dig they will pull up top though .

some c5 vettes came with slow gearing i think 2.73's also you might have beaten the driver to, it depends how bad you beat him. Its not uncommen you would be surprised at what are cars can do.

The vette shoulda got ya. Very close power and less weight. But the IRS I hear is a bitch to launch with, but hey thats why they call it the driver mod

i heard the corvettes had a lower dyno then the camaros! is this true? it might have been due to the rear gearing i think

My stock 99 Vette ran a 13.64@106 with shitty 3.15 gearing. Probably just an old guy with a bone stock car

Are you a M6? I beat a few A4 C5s with just a lid and LM back in the day. However, the few hundred pounds weight advantage and better aero makes the C5 a tough opponent...

it really depends if your auto or stick, and how good he is at driving too....
i have a stock 98 z28 i beat my frineds 02 ws6 3 times i have the shitty 173 or 172 gears smoked him still y a few cars...
my othere friend drove it for him and beat me by a few cars (driver MOd)
