well i dont think they are that much lighter they are just smaller. they still have the balancer in them so it keeps them pretty heavy. but i would look elsewhere for power you would be lucky to see 7 horsepower out of it. and try a search.

7 horsepower is 7 horsepower. It's about the same as a lid just a little more $$. I'm in the market soon for one. I haven't heard anything about the underdrive pullies that cause any problems.

my ASP has worked fine for almost 5yrs. i've thrown the belt one time...on start up in the driveway. i think it was a fluke...never happened since.

if i run all of my accessories....wipers, lights, air vents, radio...and come to a stop...the headlights dim a bit. but i'm also pulling more pwer for those being 100w.

not a bad mod to do...pricey but it is a proven gain

My car's been fine with a 15% pully for just over 2 years. Some run the 25% pullies but I see enough voltage drop with the 15% for my DD - autos idle lower so they should be aware they're gonna be making less current than an equally pullied M6 (at idle).

What kind of issues did you have with your other car? Only problems with these cars depending on the pulley is throwing the belt and if you have alot of stereo stuff it can have charging problems.
