Default Identifying Engine

I need a lil help to be sure of what engine I have in my car. I have a feeling that some things have been monkey'd with before I got it. Its a 2001 Z28.. Looking at the engine, it has the LS1 Injector system (the black crisscrossing plastic injector top). It seems like it has the LS6 intake, as it does not have an EGR valve. However, I have a manual throttle cable on the left side of the intake. I was reading and was told that the 2001 was a drive by wire. Any other ways of telling what particular engine I have in here?

You have the LS1 engine. The 2001-2002 engines came with the LS6 intake, and they weren't drive by wire - that's the Vette (pretty sure). There is a sticky somewhere around here that describes the differences. I'll look for it, and edit my post...

I second that, no f-bodys came with drive by wire, all 01 & 02 cars came with LS6 intakes, and with that LS6 intake addition the EGR was deleted.
