Price for a 5.3 and a 4L60E
Got enough cash now that I wanna put a Ls power plant in my jeep and was wondering if $1500 for a 5.3 with Automatic out of a 99 Pickup with 84,000 miles was a good price? I shopped around and that seemed to be a good deal from the 4 different junkyards i checked out.
Cheapest 5.7 was $2250 with headers on it. A Little more than I was wanting to pay.

It depends I think. You're always taking your chances unless they still have it running.
I've spend a ton of time online and stopping at every junkyard around.
Finally I found exactly what I was looking for, and exactly what I was looking to pay for it.
Even though I was gone for 13 hours today, one hour loading it up the rst driving. I got an LS1. 81,000 miles they say...but will it run? We'll see.
My point is I guess, look at several until you find the one you feel most comfortble with. $1500 is a good price it seems.
