Default LT headers.........

Okay, after much debate I have decided to go with LT headers instead of the mids. My question is, which LT headers can I go with that will not have fitting issues, like banging on floor pans and having to cut something out of the way to make them fit. I have heard of this with pacesetters, but give me your opinions please!!

The pacesetter Lts fit fine. People have had issues with there y pipe. If you get the pacesetter Lts with a tsp x from Texas-Speed you will be fine. You can't beat the pacesetters for price either. Because all lts gain around the same power. Difference in price is due to the difference in material and manufacturing processes.

I had great results with the Pacesetter headers. I think every brand will have a couple horror stories. I think you get what you pay for though. Try a search and see what people have said in the past. Good luck.

I'm sporting the Pacesetters with the TSP ORY. I had to install some rubber pieces in between the y-pipe and the body because under acceleration it would rub and make noise. I'm too lazy to change the motor mounts, but it worked. I have the SLP loudmouth exhaust and my car is loud. Installing them wasn't hard, it was just long and aggravating.

I just ordered the pacesetter headers with TSP catted Y. I've heard good things on the forum mainly. I'll let you know how it goes.

hookers are known for good clearance, BBK has just come out with a new longtube header you can find on their site that they say "we made to fit great with no clearance or banging issues". they also go on record to say they listen to all the complaints owners were having with the other LTs and decided to solve those problems, also edelbrock has some good headers

I recommend stainless steel headers. It may cost more, but they are well worth it.

I absolutely LOVE my Dynatech SuperMaxx headers and catted Y!! Beautiful and fit perfect. Wouldn't change a thing. Well worth the money.
You definitely get what you pay for...cheap crap is cheap crap.

The pacesetters fit just fine. You just have to be patient with the passenger side header. Also, it is worth considering taking a rubber mallet and a small block of wood and "attending to" the top of each collector if in fact they do look like they'll have some rubbing issues when you mock them up. I did on the second set i helped install for a friend and rubbing (vibration) was never an issue.

I have JetHot LT's on mine. They fit great. Both sides slipped in like butter. I got the Hooker ORY with it, and it banged a little at first on the floor board, but I loosened it, pull down hard, and tightened it up and no more bang

I've also heard good things about Stainless Works
