Ive heard mix'd opinions, alot of people say the rasp is unbearable and its annoyingly loud...Ill hopefully be picking up a Ls1 in a few mths and ill probably go w/ the less expensive rumbler. Enjoy the new catback.

LM1 is great, with full exhaust and no cats THEN it will be raspy and very loud. At that point make it a Borla-Mouth.

Congrats on your LM1!

Peace,
Craig.

Use a catted Y and it will sound great. As Crager also stated Borla mouth is another great option.

yeah i liked my lm1s for a while they were decently loud. but once the headers came on i feel like i cant even drive the car like it should be now. even if i want to pass someone in traffic at a light its hard not to be too loud. from under 2000 its pretty loud but once you get up to 2500-3000 while gettin on it at all its just too loud. its needs to be tamed at this point lol.

Sounds great till you lose the cats. Then it's raspy and sounds like a jake brake when you let off on a stock tune. Then you add H/C and LT's......No way to be quiet. Sounds mean as hell but just too much all the time.

Slp LT's with Dual Hi-flow cats and LM1. Yea that ***** Loud I have taken it off 2 times already and put my flowmaster american racing on then gone back to the LM1. Which is on the car still for now, Talk about a crap sounding system put an american racing thunder series on even with my Lt's my friends 98 t/a with stock manifolds, and stock smashed y-pipe lol (gotta love them) and hooker catback is louder what **** they made there

i think ima add the lt's and ypipe and go from there, i was going to put and e-cutout on it but i see no need for it. if its too loud for me i may go with the hooker system

I don't think the hooker system would be much quiter then LM1 with Lt's and ory def a nicer tone and I am sure a little quiter but I doubt to much judging by how loud it is with stock manifolds I would like to hear the hooker on an ls1 with lt's and ory tho

sorry to hijack the thread but does anyone have any input on how much different the borlamouth sounds then lm1s with lts and ory because i dont want to dish out the money for the muffler and have it still be too loud.

Detoxx03 has LM2 (now Borla-Mouth), but this will help shed some light on this subject:

Peace,
