Default exhaust on a C5?

I just ordered a pair of SLP longtube headers for my 99 corvette, but what else do i need for my exhaust?

Cats? X-Pipe and cat back.... that should be all I believe... unless you get a cut-out

i'm confused, cuz a local muffler shop told me that i needed something else (i forgot)lol..and they said it was gonna cost about $1,500!

Go to the SLP site. You need the H-down pipe which connects the headers to the rest of the exhaust right before the cats. You should also get the installation kit, which includes the clamps, gaskets, heatwrap for the wiring, etc. I have the SLPs and like them......Tony

I take it that you are a woman. Just make sure that some local muffler shop doesnt take you just because they think that you are a woman. Your exhaust set up should only include your headers and gaskets, an X or H pipe with or with out cats, and the rest of the exhaust system...ie mufflers bullets. o2 sensors and extentions may be needed, but dont let anyone take you. Check here first so we can help you out. Ask questions, so you can learn.
