Default Truck 5.3 parts for my SS?

My bro totaled my dads truck. 2002 Silverado ext cab with suicide doors 5.3l 4wd

my question is im sure ive heard that the heads off the 5.3 would go on the ls1 and it was actually a step up in performance.

is this true? and what other parts if anything off the truck will fit on my 01 SS?

If we part it out does anyone want anything?

Pretty sure those have better, more reliable alternators for our cars. Thread on that somewhere around here. If your just scrappin it wouldnt hurt to pull it out. As far as performance parts, Im not real sure what you could use.

unfortunatly we arent allowed to take anything off yet, but if we do i plan on taking the alternator if it can bolt up directly
