Default Ls6 intake worth it?

With my mods, mainly with a open cutout, would a ls6 intake be worth buying? If so how much hp/tq are they usually worth to the wheels?

10-15 rwhp maybe less. Get some LT's to go with it and you'll see a much better gain.

It's not just the peak power gain, it's how it changes your torque curve and power band.

yes you should get one, it is a def aid in HP/TQ gains. if you really wanna squeeze all the HP you can get, then get a fast 90/90 but i think and have heard LS6 intakes would do just fine. expecially with the price difference in a 90/90 vs. a LS6 intake.

I'm still debating this subject as well, you know you can always get most of your money back on an LS6 when you upgrade, so why not?

I got 10hp up top w/LS6 intake swap....I still need to be tuned so i could see more. I couldn't really tell that much of a difference at all from the LS1 intake. But definately worth it for down the road if you plan on camming it or adding air mods to it.

I dont think $350 is worth the 10hp from 5 to 6k rpm's, im holding out for the street warrior intake coming out. Thats if the price is not threw the roof like fast.

i dont think its in just the top end you see a gain... be regardless, it will help you get more out of other mods you do to the car.

i am waiting to see what this street warrior intake hits the market at pricewise as well... but for now, i'm running a ls6 intake.

plus i wanted to get rid of my egr crap and this helped with a cleaner setup, along with my race headers and ORY
