Default Fast toys ram air kit??

I am thinking about buying one and thinking whether or not it is a good idea...
How hard was it to install?? And is there a noticeable power gain?

http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...a99c07bb5b5765

P.S. In the description it says "Very difficult to see when installed to give you that stealth look". What is that suppose to mean? Is it illegal or something? LOL

I would get it. Only problem with them is you don't want to drive through any puddles of water cuz it can suck water up into the engine. And no they aren't illegal...

LOL, believe it or not, this car will probably never see rain because I drive this car only on weekends and for the next 5 days it is just sitting in a garage... I drive my maxima on rest of the days (mainly to work)... So i am not really worried about rain or any of that...

there are tons of threads about it already. They are known to suck up stuff (leaves, water, etc) but come with a blockoff plate that you can put on and take off as you see fit.

Get this one:

http://fasttoys.net/shop/product_inf...oducts_id=1475

Its also by Fast Toys and it works with the ram air to help make it functional. I've got the other one that you are looking at. Its good but I don't like the way it blocks my radiator. I plan on getting this one instead^^^^

Its not hard to install. And if you do find it hard to install, you seriously need to find a new hobby...

i got one and love it. you should get one. if you can operate a dremel, you can install this mod. i could feel the difference right away (gas miliage went up to). it even dropped the exhaust note a tad lol.

fwiw, you've gotta go a long way to suck water up one of these things (trust me, i know). so i wouldnt worry.

Fast Toys has come up with a solution to this problem. They give you a block plat that screws into the top of the FTRA and plugs the inlet hole. It take less than five minutes to plug the hole as long as you have a screw driver.

I'm not the most mechanically inclined and Installed my new MAF, Lid, and FTRA in about 30 mins or so. If you're doing it by yourself make sure you have some type of electrical tape to hold two of the screws in place that attach to the Radiator Cover piece. You get full details that explains it in more depth.

I didn't feel much bottom end, but mid and high end power definately improved as I hit 70 quicker passing a spot on the onramp by my house than I used to.
