Default exhaust

anyone know what temps the exhaust pipes get up to? not like the headers but around the rear axle area

Many variables here, but I would guess no more than ~200F under harsh conditions (car not moving, hot weather, ect.).

yeah i know that...its a long story but i need to put something down there to quiet a rattle and i dont want to melt anything or burn anything

i had a rattle in the "over the axle" area, found out it was the metal gas tank heat sheilding... tore that right out, no more rattle

my pipe is actually hitting something, we've bent it as much as we can without completely screwing up the angle of pipe and melting the rear bumper...the price you pay to have everything after-market down there from the headers back
