Default Quick Question about Factory available SLP Options...

The 345 HP factory upgraded exhaust...did it actually come with the SLP ceramic LT headers?

Also, what was included in the high performance suspension upgrade. Thanks guys...

I sold my 2000 SS a few years back and might be purchasing another, but a 2002 SS.

The 345hp package was not just exhaust. It consisted of a Blackwing airbox lid, and the SLP dual/dual catback. If you ordered just the catback, it was rated at 335hp. SLP headers were never part of the package, nor were they offered on a brand new SS. That's aftermarket only stuff.

As for suspension upgrade package, the shocks were Bilstein. I never studied the optional suspension upgrades in detail though, so I'm not sure exactly what else came in that package.

Eiback progressive rate springs with Bilstien shocks were optional on SS's and Hawks. IIRC there was also a 1LE option through SLP that was above the Bilstien setup.

It shows the options on the passenger side door sticker. As for suspension it can consist of shocks, springs, strut tower brace, subframe connectors. I wish mine came with the suspension stuff all i got was intake/exhaust, car cover, floormats, and some datebook thing. My friends on the other hand came with all the suspension mods and it sits about 1.5-2 inches lower then mine in the rear

Maybe you already know but when you look at a SS all the SLP options will be on a door jamb sticker. I've seen them on both sides. Then when you find a car you like you can research those specific options.

Black wing lid & SLP cat-back were the 345 package. the 335 package was a cat-back only. As for the suspention, it was just the Bilstien shocks and SLP springs. NO STP or SFC's.

Why?

There's no performance difference (unless the SS was ordered with a Blackwing and/or dual/dual, but you can always buy a lid/catback combo of your own). If you like the hood and spoiler, just get those parts for your Z28. And you already have the wheels. It's the same car otherwise.

i hate it when people put the SS hood and spoiler on a Z28, if you want that stuff then just buy an SS, be proud of your Z and dont make it a clone
