Default Making it last

I hear people tell me this engine is considered broken in at 90k miles.

What is the proper way of keeping this engine is great shape other than the frequent oil changes and normal stuff?

Well if it's got that kinda mileage and is still all stock, I'd consider poppin' in some new plugs and wires. Perhaps some new 02 sensors up front just in case the old original ones are becoming lazy...you know, preventive maintenance type stuff.

Just don't beat on it constantly. You can drive it hard fairly often, but if you floor it at every stoplight, well, for one, you're rich, considering gas prices, and that will wear the motor out quicker.

I'm pretty good with not driving the **** out of the car. Even when I'm on it, I usually shut it down at around 4500-5000 rpms. Hey, she's at 163k miles and runs great!

yea i mean i just bought it and i only really lay on it when i need to pass some one or thing like that, but i dont punch it everytime i stop. when i floor it at a stop i hear a clacking noise in the rear end. not too sure what that means. im guessing it the posi kicking in or posibly the traction control.

Keep that PCV Valve changed every 20k miles.. Or add a catch can, or LS6 PCV Conversion.. Use Mobil 1 oil and filter.

Seafoam works wonders also!!!

as long as you dont beat the **** out of it, these motors easily run strong after 100k miles. theres many people who have 200k+ miles on them .
