with some good tires, all you need to do is slam that throttle. My BFG KDW's would hook on the street very well. But remember they wear down quickly.

At the track when my SS was an A4 with a stock converter I'd just slam the gas down. It'd run about the same time every time. Stock KDWS's.

With my drag car and a 3200 converter, bigblock with slicks I'd go up to about 2800 when the yellow lights came on, with the foot brake, then stomp it at the last yellow.

just slam it!
if your goin from a roll you might want to drop it to first or second depends how fast your going..then launch it and you can shove it all the way up to 3 or D or else you might hit the rev limiter...
if you hook nicley all the time you can hold the brake and push the gas to get your rmps a lil higher then launch it...

i have a 3200 converter and 3.23 gears, my car seems to run fastest when i just floor it. Ive gotten a few 1.60 60ft. that way. Whenever i foot brake it, the car has always ran slower. I run et street radials and they always hook and go.
