Beat me to it. This is exactly right. I know personally. Mine is a 98 with a newer motor in it. The engine harness plugs right up without any mods whatsoever.

There's 2 ways that I know for certain and that is after a bleed and drain of the reservoir if the fluid turns black again within a week or two it time for a new slave. The other way is if you bleed it and bleeds back down or the symptoms stay the same (i.e. pedal sticking or inconsistant pedal engagement) but this way can also be the master cylinder. The stock master or OE replacement's are hit or miss on longevity. I've been lucky and have gotten 30k out of mine so far. Some other ways are notchy shifts or won't go into gear, but alot of times that's do to air in the lines and not the components. I've studied these 6 speeds not just on here but on my own. The best way to keep from having problems is to stay on top of your maintenance. I change the clutch fluid as soon as it starts to change color and do a flush and bleed every time the fluid slightly turns colors. DOT 4 works really good along header wrap on the line. Hope that helps. If you have any more questions just ask.

Had a great weekend....after the storms. Got asked to come to Mississippi to do some tuning. Tuned 9 cars in 24 hours while they ate crawfish, burgers, dogs, chicken, and pork chops. It was a great car club event. Pictures can be seen here: http://s758.photobucket.com/albums/x...y%204-16-2011/
It got intersting trying to tune the last car though. I think someone finally called the cops. They were everywhere with their lights turned off waiting for me to do something stupid. Still managed to get it done though.
It was a real pleasure being asked to come down and do this. Thank you Southern F-body Car Club. www.southernfbody.com

Building the go kart finally. Found a warrior 350 with a gsxr 600 motor on it. Picked it up yesterday and started on the kart today. It should be fun.

Nope, none. Scared the wife would kill me and collect. She already tells me that i spend too much money on toys. I dont spend a lot of money, just wait till a good deal pops up. Kinda like the $100 gixxer quad lol. I have a whole $100 and a set of flowmasters tied up in the thing. The mufflers were free and i traded them for the kart. She just needs to shut it. lol

Well a atv is like a bike. That thing gets stupid and you can tuck and roll. Im putting a racing seat in this thing with a nice set of 5pt harnesses. Not sure they would allow it to make a pass because of how small the roll cage is.

You call that cheap? lol. Are the clutches starting to slip in yours or something? Or is this just some preventative maintenance?

spool are not as bad on tires as u would think. Its not like u drive yours everyday. my rear tires are 2 year old and are about gone and have about 3k miles with spool now and not crazy extra ware from it. One burnout at the track kills tires more then a year of driving normal on a spool. where i got all my stuff from. dont no if they do 12 bolt stuff http://www.quickperformance.com/Products/spools.htm
