Solid supercharger coupler for ZR1 and CTSV Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is now making available the solid supercharger couplers for the CTSV (LSA engine) and ZR1 (LS9 engine). We have been using these on our pulley upgrades and are now making them available for sale as an individual item.
Here is a picture of our solid isolator next to the stock component.
These solid couplers are machined from high strength/high temperature plastic and are engineered to replace the factory isolator. Here is a 3D CAD model in case that makes it easier to see what it looks like:
On vehicles that are experiencing a rattle at idle or light load from the supercharger, the isolator is often the cause of the noise and the solid isolator resolves this issue.
On some vehicles we have seen signs of wear on the shaft that the production spring isolator sits on. Here is an image of that wear on a fairly low mileage vehicle:
The solid isolator also eliminates this problem as well.
