Default Sooo Close! Stock cube N20 record!

Well, I managed to run a best of 9.36 @ 145 tonight before it started giving me fits. The car pulled the front tires a couple of feet in the air (witch it never does) and it kinda caught me off guard and I forgot to hit my second stage until about 200 feet out. I was still happy with it, just knowing that it has some more in it makes me excited.

If I'm correct Smith went 9.32 @ 142 so technically I have the "Fastest" stock cube N20 car and he has the quickest. LOL I'll post up some pics tomorrow after I get some rest.

Thanks guys. The plate kit is jetted for about 135 and the DP is jetted for 250. We were getting about 220 to the tires from the DP and less than 100 to the tires with the plate. We had a pretty mild tune up just to be safe. I did have one cylinder going lean, we have a few changes to make to the car before we try it out again. Overall I was pretty pleased with it, I don't have any of the expensive stuff like alot of guys have like Tubular K member, Electric water pump, fancy front struts, etc. This just goes to show you that you can still go fast without all that stuff.

Thanks again guys.

Sounds easy doesn't it? Go ahead and give it a shot if you think it's that easy.

Hey, just out of curiosity what cylinder is going lean? I am having a problem with #1 being lean, all the others look the same as each other and are rich, except #1 and i'm not sure why it's doin it, does it on motor too.

#3 is the one going lean, It may just be a clogged jet or something, I haven't even looked at it yet.

Smith, Thanks man. I've been wanting to break it for a while now. Hopefully next time out I'll have all my ducks in a row.

I honestly think that if I can get a little bit more weight out of the car and get a little more aggressive with the tune up or up the sot on the plate that it will go some 9.teens. I'm gonna concentrate on getting the record first then I'll start getting greedy LOL.

Thanks again for the props guys.

If it does it on motor do you think it may be a weak injector? If you haven't already tried it you might swap a couple around and see what happens.

They're brand new flow matched injectors, and it did it with the old setup before I hurt it, everything around it has been changed but the block and heads, new intake, new injectors, new rails, new headers, new everything pretty much, that's why I think it's in the head, but dunno what the hell it could be!
