Default timing with a 250-300 shot?

I am currently running 19 degrees. Does anyone think this is enough or to much . Compression is 13-1 and using a 250 shot now.

What do you guys run?

Default timing

Each car is differant and no one runs the same setup so hard question to answer, to get best results either dyno tunning or track runs to see ET times
are you using HP tuners you can take your base table when it was tuned back it off 2degrees for every 50 shot then monitor kr, one or 2 degrees can make a big defferance in your run. If you dont have dyno close take to track set timing make runs and small adjustment and watch for kr then back it back 2 more degrees to be safe and watch et times.

I do understand this is a hard question. Just curious if I am in the ballpark . I am using c-16 and ar103 autolite plugs. Equivalent to TR7's .

On a 200 shot I was at 18 degrees timing on a TR6 plug.

On a 300 shot I would run a number 9 plug or equivelant with about 14 degrees timming to start with and then tune from there.

It really depends on what the timming strap on the plug is telling you.

I realize this thread is a few months old, but the AR103 is equivalent to a TR6, not a TR7. Autolite does not make a 7 heat range plug for our cars. The next step down would be an AR94, with an 8 heat range.
