Default Lunati Pro Mod Rods

How much nitrous on top of a 550rwhp motor will lunati pro mod rods handle? Will these rods do the trick or should I step it up? Please dont account for any other variables, just what kind of power these rods will hold in a nitrous motor. Thanks

Joe

Call lunati. They'll know for sure, At least better than most people on the site. The manufacture is the best source.

Depends on your tune-up.

Tune up? The tune has nothing really to do with rods... If anything fails in a tune it would be plugs, pistons, rings....

I dont think that rods would fail from a tune IMO

More timing will put more stress on the rods

How did this become anything but what my question was, not to be rude but I simply asked what kind of power they could handle nothing else. Read post please

There have been a few 1000 hp nitrous builds I can think of using those rods, how much they will handle past that I don't know.

When you're at the point that you're trying to make more then 1000 hp, alum rods seem to become commonplace.

It's RPM that kills rods normally.
This isn't really a nitrous question though.

tune will hurt rods for sure. Can cause bearing failure also which will cause spun rod bearings.

I use Promod rods in my motor and I made over 1Krwhp.
