Default Pictures--- Cary @ Performance Inductions Intake Vs. Victor Jr.

This past weekend, I made the trip up to Detroit to pick up the parts for my new race motor. I've been dealing with Cary @ Performance Induction Specialties for the past few months, and also Kelley at Thomson Automotive. Between those 2 shops, I now have everything to build my new motor with the exception of the pushrods.

Here are some pictures comparing Cary's intake with my old Victor Jr. setup.

Cary's intake will be sent out within the next week or so to get plumbed at Nitro Daves. Should be badass when it comes back.

I'll let you guys figure out what kind of heads these are for. All you need to know is they flowed 425 cfm @ .900 lift. And yes, the low lift numbers were phenominal too.

On to the pictures.....

Cary's intake is the ****, since it can be split, it gives soooo much better room to work. I got a buddy who is looking at that exact same peice. You should be VERY please with the results.

That definetly looks like a 4500 flange. I really want one of those intake manifolds. They put the vic jr to shame. How much taller is the PIS one than the vic jr? How much did you end up paying for the CNC version of the manifold with the rails?

On the heads I'm going to guess C5R judging by the shape of the ports.

The port work on Cary's is incredible. Quick question--do you have any pics of the Vic's flange? I'm in the middle of porting my Vic, and kind of wanted some ideas on how in depth to get. I noticed yours was touched up, so I was wondering.

Yes, this is a dominator flange on the intake. Only way to fly if you want to make power...

Hopefully you'll see it in person next week. It was dropped off at the powdercoater today and I'll have it back on saturday. Other than that, I'm waiting on my new Wilson 2008 cfm 4bbl throttlebody to come in before I send the whole intake package to you guys. Dave wants the fuel rails/injectors/throttlebody before he plumbs it.

Yes, 4500 flange. I haven't really taken any measurements yet though. Even sitting on the counter its X.X"s taller than the Vic Jr, it will sit even taller on the engine due to the heads. The port design is raised a BUNCH, so the intake is also going to be raised higher.

The heads will make some power.....that I'm sure of. Plus the 6 head bolts will even help more.

Where are you getting a 6 bolt C5R head from? Are they the ones Cary is producing from the ET designs he contracted? I'm guessing they have some more work done to them if they are flowing 425.

Yes Cary has a C5R head flowin over 400 that works with this intake. he can do it in 4 or 6 bolt designs.

The 6 bolt C5R heads are very few and far between. I know from what Cary told me, most of them have gone on road race cars and very few drag cars.

But they do have some awesome numbers though. Proven to make big power from what I've been told and read.....cant wait to see what they do on my motor.

Haha, last weekend was a very expensive trip to Detroit. We're getting closer at least....

Goal is to be down in Memphis or Bowling Green in early march testing the car out. I hope to have it all running within a month.

I talked to Jim and he mentioned you can get fittings? Something from VSI? Ever had an issue with them? I'm looking to replace all the fittings on my drysump as some of them leak. I'm going to PM you shortly with a temporary list of fittings needed. If you want to PM me back with the fitting questions, no problem.
