LSX Shootout 2009 275 class?????????
Would there be enough cars to fill a 275 drag radial class? The 275 could level the playing field, where we could have some decent heads up racing. Looks like 275 classes are popping up around the country, and are bringing nitrous back into the game.
So I guess the question would be... Would we as a nitrous community support something like a nitrous 275 class at the shootout?

Here's the problem with running on any tire. There are a couple cars that are the heavy hitters. Running low 8's and maybe 7's this year. Then there are alot more running from 8.50-9.40. If we allow any DR, we run into the same problem as before with the turbos. The "have's " and the "have-not's". The tire allows the lower HP cars to actually compete, instead of just participate. When you can get all the cars within a few tenths we would have some awesome heads up racing.

If they did go for it they would probably want to seperate it from the "Outlaw" class.... smaller tires and no wheelie bars.
They could make it very competitive with weights for cubic inches, heads, nitrous kits.
346 with stock castings and 1 kit - 2800lbs that being the lightest
All the way up to ...
454 with aftermarket heads and 3 kits - 3400lbs being the most.
Something like that...... I dont see it happening but that my suggestion.

To me, I've been stuck up here in ******* Alaska since 2005, watching from the damned sidelines. I am moving back down late this year, with the possibility of actually making it to the shootout. I am just trying to spark some discussion to try and work something out for us lowley nitrous guys
