Default Nx remote opener pain in the ***

well after putting on the brand new opener, the old style purple one, i cant seem to keep this thing working consistently, ive been thru all the nx faq and instruction bs, adjust the clutch yadda yadda... but i still can prevent the thing from either opening and not being able to close or vise versa,

can anyone shed some light on this problem?

i found if i leave the clamp around the neck loose it helps, i also tried adjusting the clutch, by tightening it all the way then backing off half turn just till it slips, but still no luck.

i mean its not like it never works, i got it to work for a whole bottle perfectly then once off and back on problems again. im about to ditch the sob.

thanks
john

yeah it is a pain in the ***, i was never able to get it to work 100% all the time either, it would close fine for a few times then a few times it didn't, i'm not using an opener on my 94 since i only use it at the track, maybe one day i'll get a noid style opener but for now the money is better spent elsewhere. Sorry i couldnt be more help, just lettin you know you are not alone, lol

i had the same problem i just tightened mine all the way up and left it. if your car is off and you open it you can hear when the motor slows down. if your car is running i just hold it for a couple seconds at a time to make sure its open all the way. This is the only way i have found to get mine to work. Hope this helps!

I have a Dynotune opener and Dynotune bottle valve, I switched both my bottles to NX valves for use w/ NANO. I will trade even for the purple NX clutch one (I am building a Plum Crazy 73 Charger w/ direct port...)

Beer just reanodize all your parts at one time so they will match better.

Actually I was thinking the purple one for the charger and the black one stay on the vette. Goal is two street track cars that can do 11.5, trailer one, drive the other if one breaks call it a day...

The Purple would be close enough to go with this...

On the anodizing I maybe going into that as a side gig soon too , my chief mate is setting up a lil shop in his garage and I need to see how he does with it. Its less than $800 to get up and running anodizing yourself. I think it would be like the panels a nice niche that would pay for itself pretty quick.
