Hey guys.

Dumb question for ya. What does a blow down tube do on a nitrous kit, and is it really needed?

Thanks.

It evacuates the nitrous to the atmosphere in the event a burst disc blows. If you didn't have the blow down tube or if the nitrous bottle isn't secluded from the drivers compartment it would expell the nitrous into the car itself. Most sanctioned racing bodies require it unless it is mounted behind a legitimate fire wall.
