Default cracked porcelain on plug...i have a question.

the car started breaking up on spray and this is what i found. this was cylinder#3. a while back i melted a plug in the same whole. what would cause the porcelain to crack? other than this the plug looks fine.

That condition usually happens when installing the spark plug, or removing the spark plug. If the rest of the plug indeed looks "normal" then what you are showing happened on install or removal.

interesting cause this is what found to be causing the car to break up on spray. changed this plug and its fine now. if it happened on the install it would have been breaking up all along which is not the case?
