trex is good choice from thunder racing but need ptv clearence checked, also ms4 is a great choice also from texas speed and performance,i would check ptv either way, make sure you have bolt ons to accompany cam, good luck on choice.

well i would obviously get all the neccessary pushrods, lifters, springs, retainers etc...
which is a better cam for nitrous, but i still want the choppy lope.
and whats is ptv

well i meant like an underdrive pulley with cam,air lid, full exhaust, etc, trex is 109 which isnt for daily driving and ms4 is 111 lsa which wouldnt be bad,ptv is piston to valve clearence for stock engines it NEEDS to be checked or possible flycut your pistons if it wont clear, theres alot involved, know what your getting into, read up before doing or have a reputable shop install and get it tuned.

both cams run excellent on nitrous, depends what rear gear and tire your running too, theres alot involved ,you have to have a proper setup for these cams to work great together.

Honestly unless this is a full bred race car that never makes a pass without spray, I would make cam selection based on your n/a requirements. Let me know if I can be of any help. Thanks.

mike just gonna say bigger isnt better. Ptv is piston to valve clearance as someone probely already chimed in. Worst case might have to flycut the pistons a little. This for the 408 you built or did you move to just a reg ls1 again?

so the ms4 is going in a lq9 6 liter with ls1 heads. i know that you must sometimes modify some things to use the ms4 in a ls1 but how do they work with the 6 liters?

well i have installed 6 t-rex cams in various engines and never had ptv problems but should check just in case. my t-rex loves nitrous and i drove the car 45 miles from the track after it ran a nitrous pass. t-rex makes awesome power on motor and loves nitrous.

Get a custom cam.

If not, I'd go with an X3 on a 114 for your setup.
