Default stuck throttle after HSW plate install

My car wants to stay at 3500 rpms between shifts. I've installed a HSW plate and changed the sparkplug gap from .60 to .35. I'm going to try to adjust the cable. Maybe the extra distance from the plate is causing tension on the cable. Any ideas?

Is it just between shifts or does it do it on start up and at idel?

Did you disconnect the battery? It might need to re-learn the idle. Take off the intake and see if the throttle plate is closed.

figured it out, the throttle is not all the way down. Now, any tips on adjusting this thing?

Did you install the throttle linkage bracket included with the kit? The installation proceedures are on page 6 of the manual, section 2.4 step 4

I did, however the throttle at rest is about.3-5 cm from the base. If there is a way to put slack int he cable, it would fix this problem. I'm betting there is a screw on the cable hiding under the already mounted solenoids. I was just checking before dissassembling the the noid bracket. My borrowed inch/lb tool for the manifold has been returned.

I had plenty of slack when I installed my plate. Check to see if the cable is bound up somewhere.

If its a cruse control and traction control car there is a clip about 20" from the throttle body that you can lengthin or shorten the cable creating more or less travil.
