Default Nitrous Jetting/ Math Question

Hey All! I'm running a dual nozzle NOS 5177 on my 98Z and currently have it jetted with dual .044's for a 150fwhp. I'm wondering what size shot I would be running with a .044 jet in one side and a drilled out (unrestricted) in the other?

I've read that the 5177 noids can only flow 175fwhp so would the math below be correct??

(1) .044 jet = 150fwhp/2 = 75fwhp

(1) (unresticted/drilled jet) 175fwhp/2 = 87fwhp

=162fwhp

THANKS,
Dan

Depending on how big your nozzle and solenoid are and if you have the SHO hose on the nitrous would determine the amount of hp you would get with a huge jet. for example a .110 jet is 350hp and .136 is 400hp. Most solenoids and nozzles are not that big but thats the big end of nitrous jetting. An SHO hose would move that much nitrous but the nozzle/solenoid is going to be your limiting factors.

Thanks for the reply. I get what you are saying... and I have the limit (hp) that that the noids can support.... but I'm not sure if the way I'm doing the math is correct.

1. I know that running the stock (small) redundant noids on the 5177 can only flow a 175fwhp shot.

2. I know that running dual .044's makes 150 fwhp

So is it safe to say that running a .044 in one side would make 75fwhp (150/2) and running a totally unresticted jet in the other nozzle would make 87fwhp (175/2) for a grand total of a 162fwhp shot?

Or by running a completely unrestricted jet on one side would I actually be getting a 175 shot?

For the difference of 10hp, I know this a dumb question, but I'm curious.

Thanks,
Dan
