Default What is the mileage cut off for Nitrous???

I just recently purchased a 2000 WS6 w/ 130,000 miles on it. I was woundering if I could run a 75 shot on it and how long I could run it before the engine gives?

What are you opnions on Nitrous and Mileage???

It depends on the maintenance over the years. A well maintained motor will be fine , an abused motor won't be fine even if you don't spray. My Z/28 has 120k on a 100 shot.

I have no idea how the maintance of the engine has been, I probabley need to do a compression check on each of the cylinders. That might be a good starting point.

Yup, that's where I would start. One of our test cars has just about 115K on it now and we hit it with quite a bit. Just make sure there is a steady fuel supply and your tune is spot on, and you won't have any issues.

Those LT1's sure love the Nitrous

I sprayed a 100 Shot from 40,000 miles to 82,000 miles and then new motors came into play. After putting in new motors, I wish I would have ran a 150 shot or a progressive 175 shot with the stock short block.
