Wiring all this stuff up, I have a stand alone I plumbed a FPSS into, pump comes on when you arm the system, I ran the grounds for the solenoids to it then to the ground, any reason that won't work? I was mainly concerned about resistance through the FPSS, like if the current path could handle it.

exactly the noids need a good block/chasis ground. the relay should go threw the fpss. or throw the fpss away cause there junk....

FPSS is junk? I thought it was a good idea, especially since I'm on a stand alone? I just ran the ground for the solenoid relay through it.

I know a couple of my buddies have had intermittent problems with using FPSS, but I wonder if they were actually working and doing their job?

Keep the FPSS, they are a great addition to your safety parts, given that you have it setup correctly. Just don't have it set too high to where the initial fuel pressure drop will trigger the FPSS!

And no, don't wire it through your FPSS. Your FPSS should be going to either a relay or to a WOT switch or something. Give your solenoids nice beefy ground/power wires, never off a switch!

Never liked them never used them... I don't worry about being lean. Timming is what kills ya. it would have to drop in half to be an issue lean and the car would not pull before you kill it lean.

Agreed. FPSS's have done nothing but **** me off ever since I started spraying. And in all reality, everytime I've had a problem with a kit activating, it's been the phucking FPSS.

I am thankful that I never wasted my time with one of those POS FPSS.

Throw it in the trash, and don't waste your time. As long as you're not spraying @ an rpm you shouldn't be, and as long as your tuneup is good there's no need.

If you're on a standalone, then I really wouldn't bother. Just put a gauge in the car so you know the fuel pump for the standalone is on, and call it a day.

What brand FPSS did you guys use? The one I bought from DynoTune never gave me a problem. They set it once before they shipped it to me, and I didn't mess with the settings after that

I never even tried one... after seeing one of my friends try 3 different brands and none of them worked right, or didn't work for long I didn't even waste my time.
