id personally put a ngk 7 non projected plug in it and start around 20 degrees of timing and go from there. ofcourse that is my personal opinion and would feel comfortable starting there.

good luck.

generally -2 degrees per 50hp is a safe starting point. Please read your plugs.

get rid of the TR6's for some 7's.... run some good fuel and i'd say pull 7 degrees to be safe..... 2 degrees per 50 hp plus 1 till you get a good read on the timing marks on the plug....

but get rid of the TR6's...

basically the 7 is one step colder than a 6..... and for those power levels it's a better plug... non projected tip plug as well which is what you need...

It will not last as long as the TR6. I run it as a street/strip plug for my smaller hits and have no problems, however, some report a ruffer idle and fouling pretty quickly. I think it's mostly in the tune and it can work fine for most.
