this question is very setup dependent. is the motor a nitrous motor? is the car geared for spray? nitrous cam? suspension setup for NA runs or nitrous runs? how fast is the car?
typically teh faster you go the harder it is for a say 150 shot to take you faster due to higher aerodynamic forces and it's exponentially harder the faster you go to go even faster...
typically a 13 or 12 second car will usually see 1.2 to 1.3 seconds from a 150 shot and 13-15 mph is not uncommon..... Now an 11 or 10 second car might not get that much from the same 150 shot....
If it's a dedicated nitrous motor and the car is geared and suspension setup for nitrous then you can still see big gains from smaller kits.... My car runs in N20 trim (suspension strapped down tight as hell and wheelie bars on) on the motor 10.80's... It's been as fast as 10.60 on motor with the suspension loosened up and the wheelie bars off but the car will go up on the bumper if i leave it like that for spray...
I go from 10.80's NA on average @128mph to low 9.70's at 142.xx with a 150 shot.. .Turn on the 2nd unit and it drops to 9.3's.... I haven't been able to get a good MPH comparision cause the track I ran at had a massive headwind or something is wrong with the MPH calcs at my usual track.. I ran 143 on a 150 shot and the car went 143 again on a 300 shot at a different track but went 4 tenths faster... so who knows...
I think at the same track the car will go 9.30's@148-150... So I'm picking up 1.5 seconds and 22mph from 300hp worth..
