i have limiters on it i made a pass before that went a 1.31 60' and only carried the wheels 2 ft nice and easy then i gave it 2 degrees of timing thinking it would be ok and wow was i wrong. that dude made some horsepower with that extra 2 degrees. it is an iron block with a stock pan it just smashed the front corner looks to be fine and the trans has no visible damage or leaks and bellhousing was fine. next time i will strap it all the way down that way the worst thing that happens is it blows the tires off.

Sounds like your fine, double check the trans where it bolts to the block.
Mine was very hard to see where it was craked until we started unbolting it and peices fell out.
2* is worth a couple of hundreths in the 60' in my car and it "feels" alot stronger with it in. (we try to pull some if the track isnt there)

yeah that is only the 4th bottle pass on this setup and i changed alot so this is still in the learning stages with it, i switched from a 29" hoosier to a 28 MT, from a glide to a th400 and from fuel injected to carbed. thanks for the advice on where to look anything to keep this as safe and inspected as i can i will. Ill pull the trans this week and look it over. this is an expensive learning experience but the car really started to make horsepower on that last pass, i cant wait to strap it down and let her fly again.

yeah good job that thing is flying. I had wheelstand issues bad and I put limiters on it and believe me set them tight at first and get looser if it blows the tires off by one hole at a time. don't make big jumps cause they are super sensitive to changes.... I set mine to one hole looser than the middle setting and I drug the bumper for 150 feet on a 150 shot.... let off it and it slammed down and destroyed my SYA bars and dented my headers.... I've got wheelie bars now cause like others have said it gets expensive...
I have a plate system and my car goes up like that on a 150 shot. It's all in the suspension and it's either dead hooking or blacktracking the tire.... If you dead hook you're going up on the bumper.... plates and foggers both hit pretty hard...
god damn, I am jetted for a 150 and my car doesn't come out like that. Then again I only have plate kit

Your setup seems to be VERY similar to mine. I also have a iron 408 with a carb, but I have a fogger system. I took it out this past weekend and made my first nitrous passe with it. Rolling out around 150 feet and spraying it I went 6.40 @ 111. I did that twice and then hit it out of the hole and it stood up about 4 feet and I had to get out of it because it went to the right for some reason. I had 8* of timing out of mine to be extra safe. I believe mine has some .20s in it for sure with the 150. I'm running a 2.02 glide, 4.10 gear, 325/50 radial.
I ordered Madmans limiting straps this week! lol
