CSMRE LT1 goes 9.20@151
Hey guys I posted this over in the LT1 section but I know alot of the LS guys never go in there so I figured i'd put it up here.... Went to Sacramento Grudge night to make a few passes. Would have made four but only got three in as a result of a broken autometer sending unit for oil pressure that made my gauge read ZERO oil press when the engine was running. Yeah not fun at all to notice that on a gauge... We verified with a mechanical and then ziptied it to the fuel rail and ran her on a 3rd pass... We ran 9.30, 9.34, and 9.20 all passes were at 151.xx with the highest being 151.6. Best 60 foot time was a 1.36. We've gone 1.33 at a different track with better track prep. Here's the vids enjoy.
This is a Nitrous Pro Flow plate system that is run dry with 83lb injectors. 383 ci LT1 with 12:1 compression.... We know it's got an 8 in it just need to put the power down and bring the nitrous all in sooner... here's the vids.
1st pass off the trailer..

9.34 but car jumped thru the transbrake... lane still awarded me the win for some reason though even though I clearly redlit....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vo7a4qv85-U
and here's the 9.20 best pass to date......

65 jet on the 1st kit and a 73 jet on the 2nd kit... By nitrous pro flows numbers that a 150 and a 175. So 325 total hp..... Our target is gonna be a 73 on the 1st stage (175) and an 82 on the 2nd (225)... So 400 total.. We think it'll go 8.80 on those jets...
The 1/8th mile was a 5.882@120.2. (on the 9.20 pass) The other passes were low to mid 5.9's.... thanks guys.

What is the record of Nitrous LTX Cars?? Is it Taner blue M6 Car??
Thanks Wayne as well for the help over PM's. My car actually didn't like going leaner than 11.5 (basing it off the MPH) Weather got ALOT cooler and my MPH dropped off by .2 every pass we leaned it out. First pass it was like 90 degrees outside at least and we set it to 11.5:1 AF. Ran 151.6mph. 2nd pass was 11.8:1 and it ran 151.4. Third pass the weather had dropped to like 70ish degrees outside and we set AF to 12:1 and MPH dropped to 151.1.... Plugs looked okay but some looked REALLY borderline lean (most likely because of nitrous distribution in the plate).... I'm thinking some cylinders are getting a tiny bit more spray than others. XFI is adjusting fuel in closed loop to ALL cylinders so some are good and some are not... Ultimately I need individual cylinder timing and fueling but I don't have a cam sync in my distributor which is preventing me from being able to do that. So I might err on the side of caution and run it at 11.5:1 so that I'm either slightly rich in some holes and spot on on others.....

Every motor is different, give it what it wants... if it goes faster at 11:5 thats where I would run it.
You could use a colder plug in the holes that run hot or an old trick we used back when we had stock style intakes was to have the injectors flowed and run the heavy ones in the hot holes.
Maybe have the plate flowed with your intake over the winter and they can fix the dist. problems most of the time.

Congrats Jason! I talked with Theo today and he mentioned your car ran well. Towards the end of September my car will be at his shop undergoing some changes. My motor sold and I'm working on a new combo. Congrats again and 8's are there for you. The MPH is there you just need to turn that second kit on a bit sooner and up the jets!

Congrats man, been a long time coming for sure. If ya went to a fogger you could tune the cyl's individually as well... 1 jet up or down on the cyl's that need it. However... that might just take care of the distribution issue as well so you won't have any issues at all.
Wayne's running a DP dry setup so that might be something to consider. Make it really easy to put 2 stages on with a single nozzle as well, and keep the plate that's on the car, leave on a small hit from the plate, then bring in 1st fogger, then 2nd. Have the second stage on the plate as a last resort.
Breaking it up a little might help get it down the track when it's not 100%, and is easier on the motor too.... something to think about.
You're at the point that something like this, is gonna make a big difference and get you where you want to me IMO.

You're on teh right track. Blah on there being no room for nozzles. If you can fit a fogger on a fast 90 with all the factory crap on (seen it done) then you have room. You may just run them up the runners a bit or whatever.
You may, have some room to gain by running a spacer with the TB, which also would make some room for the fogger lines. Running a soft Nos line type setup would make it easy too.
I'd try that before you run next time, get a spacer and put it under the TB, it may help with the distribution too, give the nitrous a little more time to mix with the intake charge.
