I ordered quite a few sets of diamond pistons for customers motors and after talking to chris awhile, we ordered myself some 4.030 pistons (409" iron stroker) for my max n20 effort motor...

He said the off the shelf pistons they have are good for 150-250 nitrous setups...

We went with a custom piston to give me 11.5:1 /w 66cc head, and lowered the rings/ringlands on the pistons for max nitrous use....

This is what i need to run a stupid amount of nitrous i would hope...

Questions

1) What ring gapping for a 300-400 shot? (this motor will see street useage)

2) Ive got a 4.0" eagle crank and Lunati pro-mod rods going behind it..in a iron 6.0L block, arp main studs and all balanced...im not missing anything i would hope


Is there anything im missing?? I think i have my bases covered i hope..

Hmmm, be nice to see the results of this combo on the N2O list! Good luck.

BTW, I maybe needing the ring gaps and lower lands myself, but stock bore.

1. you should use a .023 ring gap or so, but call diamond to be sure. you will what to use the widest possible for hugh shots of spray. also do not put 0 gap rings in it.

2. i would use head studs also. those internals should take a good beatting on the juice.

yea ive got head studs for it already and im going to o-ring the heads or block....
.23 ring gap?? on both top and 2nd ring right?? I guess ill call diamond tomorrow and get their opinion, i was just hoping one of the few guys on here running 300 shots would chime in...

What would be a max effort nitrous cam setup??

I was thinking in the 244/250 , .570-.590 lift @ 112 type...
