Default New numbers on bottle

I'd like some of the pros to take a look and this graph and tell what you all think is going on with my set up. This car has never dyno'd high, but always run better than its numbers show. I haven't been to the track yet with this new engine and juice.

Forged 347, LS2 heads (stock),LS6 Intake, custom cam (238/242-605/610-113+4). Yank SS4000 Converter, FLT Level 4, 4L60, 10 bolt 3.73's. I have a Brand X kit with a Harris Speed Works plate. I have it jetted for a 175 hit, 67&36 jets. It was picking up 162 and bottle psi was at 1000 when we started this pull. First pull n/a the 02's were going nuts and dumping a lot of fuel. We reset them made another n/a pull and all was well. This pull was with the converter unlocked of course. This is on 91, TR6's (which looked good afterwards) and we have 9 degrees pulled and got ZERO knock. I know the converter isn't really recommended for nitrous, but I can't afford to switch right now and I honestly won't be using the juice all that often.

My question is this, why does it drop off at 6K. Are my lines to small for a 175 hit? I don't remember what size they are now, whatever came with the kit from Nitrous Outlet. My n/a graphs pull all the way to 6,500.

I'm no expert, but the guy on the dyno probably just stopped the pull a little early because it was on the bottle. With that size shot and 91 octane you should be using the BR7EF plug. Knock or no knock it's a safer plug. Besides there is more load on the motor on the street or the track then on the dyno.

Do you have a window switch? It looks like it could be a window switch stopping the nitrous at 6000.

What size bottle? It could have just been a big pressure drop. I find it hard to believe that -4 lines couldn't support up to a 200 hit. at ~900PSI....get a NANO system.

It's a ten pounder. Psi was 1000 and fell to 900 after the pull was done. I've already been checking into a nano system.

The graph is hard for me to see. What was the airfuel doing in relation to the power graph?

You need to upsize the nitrous hose feeding from the solenoid to the plate to our race hose. You are max flowing that -3 hose at 175. So power numbers may come up when making that change. Only concern about uping the nitrous hose is the fact the plate you are using has issues with lean spikes unless you are using a much shorter fuel hose in relation to the nitrous hose. So my advice would be to use a longer nitrous hose than the fuel hose with that plate.

Dave, the a/f was going rich at the same points that power was falling, and kept steady with the curve. We haven't seen any lean spikes. Thanks for chiming in and I'll be in touch next week to order the race hose and a shorter fuel hose.

Ok if the airfuel was falling of doing the same as the power odds are you hit a flow restriction on the nitrous. Lets up grade that feed hose to the plate and see if that takes care of the problem.

how much can the brand-x noids handle?

ive got the basic brand-x kit, spraying a 150 for now. but have been wanting to bump it up to a 175 or 200. it seems the race lines would be a good idea, but what else should i do? or is it even possible to spray that much with this kit?

The Brand X solenoids will MAX flow 200. YOu need to find out where the max flow is on the plate you have as well.

Sorry confused you with the original poster.. The brand X solenoids and brand X nozzle will max flow 200. You just need to upgrade the hose from the nitrous solenoid to the nozzle. So you will need our race hose and a 1/8 npt x 4an fitting for the solenoid.

Yes, see our race hose is actually a 4an hose with a 3an nut on one end to seal to the jet.

Let us know and we will ship you what you need back with the warrenty items.
