Thumbs up Installing Nitrous

I Have never installed nitrous before and i plan on installing it in my 02 WS6 about how long does it take to complete the installation process? And how hard is it? I have a sts turbo on it so i dont know if it will affect the installation as well...

Not too bad, just take you time and do it right the first time, and it will look beter as well. Instalation is about asking how long to build a house. a dry kit is pretty strait forward, wet obviously takes londer. If you install heat, purge, Window swiitch, controler it then takes longer.

i've seen people throw a kit in in a few days... personally mine took me a good months worth of weekend days/nights. But i spent painful amounts of time on wiring, making sure i had the right gauge for everything, have everything mounted and drawn up incase i ever had a problem. Extremely please with how it came out though, and everything worked flawlessly. (knock on wood lol)

Start to finish the nitrous kit only can be done if a few hours worth of work. I would your first time you should be able to get it done in 3 hours or so. If you install heaters, remote opener, or other toys at 30 min each. I just ran all my wiring and it took maybe 2 hours and that included wires for a window switch.

Depends how many things you have to wire up and how comfortable you are doing it. I would plan on it taking a while to make sure everything is right and looks clean.

It took me a good weekend per install, that I have done. All the wiring is hidden, the only things exposed is the noids. It depend on how nice you set it up.

entirely depends on what components you get with your kit. Question, how come your adding nitrous to your setup? is this on a stock short block? give us some more details

A typical Kit < Single Nozzle or Plate kit w/ Window Switch > can take up to 2Days for install.

A Complete Kit < Single Nozzle or Plate kit w/ Window Switch, FPSS, Bottle Heater, Purge kit, and Switch Panel > Might take up to 3 days

A Total Package < Single Nozzle or Plate kit w/ Window Switch, FPSS, Bottle Heater, Purge kit, Switch Panel, Widewband, Timing Controller, Remote Opener etc... > Can take up to 4days

All the times will ultimately depend on your automotive and electrical knowledge and how fast one works. Time frames also depend on how clean and sexy you want the install to look.

knowing exactly how you want to do everything saves hours in the install.

The block is a stroked 383 ls1 with ported stage 2 ls6 patriot heads, upgraded manifold, cam, pulleys, with the sts turbo with methanol kit and a few other things. can you run nitrous with a meth kit installed?
