Default anyone else popped a long line?

I apparently didn't secure the long line under the car very well and it dragged a hole in it.

the rubber was good, the braided SS was gone in about a 2" section.

So I figure what the hell, it's not going to hurt anything if it pops when I open the bottle, and it will just go super rich if I'm spraying on it and it goes.

The INSTANT I opened the bottle and the line filled - POP. Sounded like a gun going off.

So just another thing standing in the way of me spraying on the new LS2.

This happened to anyone else?

No more zip-ties under the car for me, going to get clips to screw into the underside of the car and mount the line SECURELY so it doesn't move and more importantly doesn't drag.

Just thought it was funny and thought I'd share.

err...I have my line run from the spare tire area to the engine bay under the carpet. Is this dangerous? Should I rerun it outside of the car?

I like to run the feed line inside the vehicle whenever possible. Less chance of damage.

Sorry to hear that....

I've seen this happen before to numrous people.

If the line didn't pop in the middle and it can be shortened and still be used we can fix it for you.

It's almost directly in the center of the line. I can get a new one for $50 so I'm straight on just buying another one.

I need to worry about a bottle pressure gauge in the car as well as a few other gauges and my factory ones are not working like they should

Mine didn't pop due to excess pressure in the line so to speak, the SS rubbed off and left the rubber exposed, just not designed to work like that.

I'm going to pull it out of the car and take pics of it, should be up in an hour or so (I'm being lazy).

Yea you guessed it, not supposed to handle pressure without support. lol I'm sure that was an fun experiment. I would keep the line on the outside of the car, just use some more secure fasteners. We have little rubber clamps that you can use instead of zip ties.
