Default Used nitrous kit?

Is it okay to buy a used kit? I found a used NX shark nozzle kit complete with purge kit everything. He is only asking 250.

I bought a used kit. I made sure it was from a stand up guy. Turned out the nitrous noid was leaking. He took car of it and bought me a new noid. When you hook it up just make sure to check the noids aren't leaking and you are good. They are really the only thing that go bad on a nitrous system. Obviously the bottle can leak out of the valve but you never really hear of that happening. I say yes buy it especialy at $250. Event if you replace the noids like I ended up doing you still have a great kit for under $350. I paid $85 shipped to the door for a pair of HSW noids.

Go for it just make sure you are working with a trusted person, and check everything so you don't have any problems.

That it is all in good looking condition. If the bottle is scratched to hell, and the coupling are rounded and the lines look like hell then steer clear. If the pics look like everything is well kept with only minimal wear on them you should be ok.

Like I said if you are really concerned buy the kit and then new noids. You will have a kit at $335 still a great price. Chances are the noids he is selling are just fine or you can save some money and rebuild them for 15 or 20 each. Then you have event less in your kit.

I bought a used kit. After getting it hooked up, I went to get it tuned. Purge solenoid stuck open, shot all under my hood and cracked the paint. Had them clean all the solenoids (Btw, the bottle and filter leaked also). Came back the next weekend, got it tuned, went fine except the window switch that came with it, was bad. And the best part, I went to try it out for the first time, and the nitrous solenoid STUCK OPEN. I had a small sheet of ice on my T/B. I'm lucky my motor didn't go.

My advice, do NOT buy a used kit.

Yeah, I'd say so. It definitely scared me away from nitrous for a few days. I bought some NEW hsw solenoids and it's all installed. Gonna try it Friday or Saturday when it's clear outside. Scared shitless, lol.

Like I said if you want to be real safe buy new or rebuild the noids. Normaly you shouldn't need to but it is better safe than sorry!!!

If you know that guy and trust his word then you should be ok. Its always easy to assume that a kit includes everything only to find out that some things are missing, which can add up quickly.

Not bad man, you should be able to get those fittings dirt cheap. Let us know how everything goes on the install.

Come to think of it I have an extra nozzle, mount nut, and stock bellow you could have for free if you need it.

I ordered the nut from summit and just bought some line from autozone for the purge.

Can I mount the nozzle in the stock bellow?
