Default Carb style plate?

Ive got a GMPP single plain intake with an elbow on the car, not carb'd but wondering if a carb plate would work between the elbow and the intake? If so which plate would you guys recommend? A nice 2 stage setup would be great.

Car is a 402, LS3 heads, 4L60, 3.73's, and a small yank. Looking to do an 80E swap soon

The Speedtech is probably regarded as the best out there, but it's expensive. I have a Pro Flow plate and love it.

The Speedtech 2 stage diffuser plate is a 4 hole plate from what I remember. Will that interfere with airflow since the intake is a single plane intake and the elbow being wide open above it?

The Zex paremeter plate is a nice low budget plate that works well. I paid $230 for mine with the jets. Your question was why i went with it. I was concerned about airflow with the spray bars and 4 hole setups.

What I mean is where do you get your vacuum source from? Do you just tap into the brake booster hose or do you take vacuum off the throttle body from a vacuum port?

I just looked at the edelbrock T/B and I can't get a good enough picture to see if it has vacuum ports. Does anybody know if the Accufab T/B has vacuum ports?

I run vacuum from the brake booster hose. I have the edelbrock 4150 TB but you won't have a problem with it or the Accufab.

I'd go with NX's gemini twin plate. Its a perimeter style plate and has great distribution. Their dual stage shark plate is sweet too!

I have a Speedtech one stage plate. It will spray up to 500 and was about $600. Hits hard and distributes well according to my plugs

The accufab has a few vacuum ports that you can use or block off, that's what I use.

Inductions Solutions makes an awesome 2 stage plate that will spray as much as you could ever want to. I highly recommend going with them.

Well, the speedtech plate is around 600, and my pro-flow plate was 225. To me, that's quite a bit more. My plate hits just fine for what I need.

the speedtech also comes with solenoids and hoses and a bracket I believe for that 600.

The pro-flow is more in price when you include everything else.

**** I think the 2 stage pro-flow is more expensive the Speedtech.

Both make great products though. I also like SJ's plate

I think I will just put an edelbrock t/b on top of the intake and not use an elbow at all. This way I can use a Speedtech 2 stage diffuser plate with the 4-hole setup
