i have a 6.0l with a carb setup, wanting to find out what will be the best ignition to put on it.i have seen the msd boxes(6010,6012) but not sure will they work with a big shot of nitrous cause i plan on using 2 stages.so if anyone know of something diffrerent or if the msd will work would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

I asked the same question not to long ago here's what I got https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...-ls-motor.html

It seems like either the MSD 6LS or a front mount dist and a regular MSD setup, even a 7531 if your willing to spend the money. But I think you can use the 6LS with an outside MSD box like a timing tuner to kill even more timing or run more than one stage.

The downside to the dist is you have to buy the conversion kit, the dist, new water pump, and a different msd box. I'm sure thats not it but that alone can be expensive.

MSD sets the standard when it comes to ignition systems. Im sure they have an add on for your set up that would be perfect.
