Default I want nitrous! A few questions

Hey all, I do not know much about nitrous at all but want a 100 shot bad. My mods that i already have are in my sig and my car has 130k miles. is it possible to get a COMPLETE system for my m6 for less than 500? I believe i would also need a window switch? and maybe a wot switch? Do any of the sponsors offer a complete plackage with that included? Sorry for all the questions. thanks

With all the safety goodies you need and all, it's doubtful, even used. I pieced together my kit while buying used and the whole thing ran me about *counts on fingers* $800 or so. Nitrous is not something you want to cheap out on, trust me.

I believe i would also need a window switch? and maybe a wot switch? Do any of the sponsors offer a complete package with that included?
You believe right on both counts. Several sponsors ( Nitro Dave's, Dynotune, HSW ) all offer complete kits.

One caveat about nitrous though... Do it right or do it twice ( and possibly replace expensive parts in the process ).

Any reason why you want to go with a dry kit?

If you could spring for it, the Interface and MicroEdge would be nice additions. I run and endorse both.

At the least you should add a nitrous filter and a fuel-pressure safety switch.

A bottle warmer would be nice as well, to keep the pressure constant.

Some will say you need a blow down tube and a purge solenoid as well. Depending on how you're using the nitrous, you may or may not opt for either.

Spark plugs are a must. Some say you can get away with some TR6's. I use the BR6EF's myself. DO NOT spray on TR55's or the equivalent. You will toast something for sure.

Why must everyone turn all nitrous threads into a wet vs. dry pissing match?

OP, do the research and decide for yourself what you prefer.

For what it's worth, I spray a dry post-MAF shot with a .051 jet. I made 117 rwhp extra on that shot. I anticipate getting into the 10's in early February with nothing more than stock internals and that shot.

My kit is cobbled together, and is controlled by a HSW Interface and MicroEdge, and I'm very happy with the results.

It can be pieced together for what you are wanting to spend. If you buy thrifty. Me personally I am selling the solenoids/nozzle + jets for 75 100 150hp/and the braided lines for $110 shipped. Try and find a bottle and main feed line line used 100-125 add a purge kit, fuel pressure switch and window switch for about what you want to spend total.

unless you are running larger injectors, i'd go w/ a wet kit.

That's gonna be tough to hit that price. Especially if you're wanting to do it right with all of the necessary safety items.

Default nos parts and tuning

Hey check out Frost site for tuning needs. You can run one of his products and when your nitrous is armed you can run a completely different tune. I also have spare nos stuff if you want to go cheap route, I run used stuff too. But new parts are always good for security and the sponsors here have really nice setups. Tr6 plugs have served me well until i added the second stage. Good luck with your build.

Tons of people on here sell good used kits all the time. You can definately get what you need for $500 or less.
