anyone ever have your valve freeze up and not open?

anyone ever have your valve freeze up and not open? I went to get my bottle filled up and they stuck it in the deep freeze for about 15 minutes and the damn valve would not open? After heating up the valve it opened up. Stuck it back in the deep freeze again and it worked just fine after. Very strange so I was wondering what would cause this? The bottle just passed the recertification process the same day before filling it.
