Finally got her on the dyno-200 pills make 50 rwhp/180 rwtq! HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Need your opinion on what to do to complete my setup, here's what i've got:
HKE iron 408 6.0 L (11:1)
Fast 92 mm intake
Fast 92 mm throttle body
zo6 85 mm maf <------EDITED 3/5/10
UPD 92 mm lid <------EDITED 3/5/10
Br7ef plugs <------EDITED 3/5/10
42 lb injectors
Walbro 255 fuel pump
TEA Stg. 1.5 5.3's ported and polished
240/244 .605 .610 113 LSA
Wiesco pistons
Eagle rods
Eagle crank
Nitrous Outlet dedicated fuel cell w/low pressure spring w/c16 w/high pressure fuel pressure safety switch
Nitrous Outlet 92 mm plate
Nitrous Outlet single stg progressive controller w/tps/window switch/g.lockout
Nitrous pro flow solonoids including a purge kit
Moser 9 in w/3.89's
BMR subframe connectors,BMR Rear LCA's,adj. panhard bar
MT ET Street Drag radials
Still looking to get a new torque arm, some more suspension parts for the front of the car and a full coil over set. This is mainly a street car but would still love to see high 10's on motor/high 9's on the dope in the near future and definetely think it's possible to do with my setup. Well I have a few questions and would like the opinion from those who have been there and done that. With this setup N/A it made 512/502 through my 6 speed-I havent got any numbers on the new nitrous setup. I dont have the extra $ for some trickflow 235's and a bigger cam so please don't reccomend that to me as plenty of people have. I know she's got a little more in her as far as N/A power and I've got a couple ideas to pick up a little more HP:
*I know there is definetely some air flow restriction with my MTI lid/stock maf considering I have a fast 92/92 setup. I was thinking about buying a UPD air lid with the outlet i.d. being 92 mm and either buying an SLP maf or deleting the maf and going with a SD tune. Keep in mind this is my DD although I don't put too many miles on the car considering work/school are pretty close to the house. Can you guys please explain exactly what a Speed Density tune is and what are the advantages/disadvantages of running a SD tune over running my setup. My buddy told me I'd pick up a little power doing a SD tune and if it doesn't affect the driveablity of the car i wouldn't mind going that route. I was told it was all in the tuner and what he's capable of and Mike at Gforce here in pearland tunes my car and I was thinking of seeing if he could do a SD tune when we spray the 200 shot with the new dedicated fuel cell and plate. How much timing do I need to pull-8 degrees? I've heard some say you can leave the timing in there since I'm running a dedicated fuel cell w/c16 but some say you still have to pull timing regardless.
*Also, I've done my research and called around to plenty of speed shops/nitrous companies and have really got a wide variety of responses when I ask what plug to run on a 200 shot. Before I upgraded to a plate I was running a 150 shot through a single nozzle and running TR6's. I upgraded to the plate, pilled it for a 200 and switched to br7ef's and was told by a local shop to take them out and put the tr6's back in and that they'd be fine for the 200 shot. I've heard PLENTY of guys on here say 150 is the max on a tr6 but others say they're good for up to a 250? I thought I did the right thing when i switched to a br7ef but am kind of confused what to do right now. I've invested plenty of money in my setup and would really hate to blow my motor up AGAIN by something as dumb as choosing the wrong plug. Let's here some suggestions please!

you can run a gm 85mm maf with a bigger lid and somesort of ram air feeding the bottom of the lid, you would gain a good amount.
I wouldnt even run the tr6s on the 150 you can run them on motor though, put the br7s in it for the 150 and the br8s in it for the 200. Im not sure what shop it was, but they were dead wrong, the may think they will work but they aren't safe and the br7 and 8 are an a lot better plug choice.

cody, i ran 7's back when i was on a 200 shot on 93, never had an issue at all. With you having a fuel cell of c16 i dont see an issue with running the 7's. just keep a extra set just in case they foul out. i used to change mine often just to keep and eye on them and make sure all was well.

As far as the tune is concerned; At some point the stock MAF will become a restriction. However, there are people running it in the power range similar to yours. I can't say that you would see a big gain gain going to an SDCL tune. Personally, I'd save your money and stick with your current tune until you get those TFS235s you talked about. I'd recommend reading through the PCM section and looking at getting the book master engine tuner. Those are both good places to look at getting a better grasp on tuning. (especially the book)

^^^Correct! If it's tuned properly, there's no problem running cold plugs all the time. I run NGK -8's with a 200 shot as well as N/A. They will not foul if you keep the idle clean in the tune. I also ran nearly identical et/mph on motor with the -8 plugs as I did with TR6 plugs.

DO NOT run the 6`s on a 200 shot! Ask me how I know. The 7`s are great plugs for N/A or spray. And start with a safe tune. I run 11.9 on the 7`s N/A and 10.8 on spray.

I'm really glad I posted this thread but now yall see what I mean when I say I'm kinda confused of what plug to run. One shop says run 6's, some guys on here say run 7's, some of yall say run 8's. I'm leaning towards an SD tune-I just want the same driveablility, the most HP N/A and the safest N20 tune.
Oh and btw I just sold my MTI lid last nite and boughta a UPD 92 mm lid for more air flow. So now it's either buy a big bellow or buy a big maf..opinions please! Sponsors don't hesitate to chime in!

ONLY time ive seen an issue was when it go to high 20's here and ive had to start the car after leaving it overnight. Had a diffrent sound (not a fouled plug sound) when warming up but once it was warmed up it was fine.
I plan to change the plugs next week since im going to the track at the end of this month.
