Default Stock Capacities

A buddy is convinced that a 97-99 LS block cannot handle more than a 50 shot of nitrous. Just wondering what people's experiences are and far they have pushed it somewhat safely.

the block itself or what?

i put up to a 200 through my old 98 block, forged internals though

i know alot of guys that spray 100-150 shot but they are all in a 01-02 model

i myself used to spray a 150 on a completely stock 2001 z28

150 is the safe point with a internally stock short block.. Hoever there are some of us that have played with fate succesfully and sprayed a bit more.

Put a 1 in front of the 50 and you'll be fine. This of coarse is all relevant to the rest of the mods on the car.

I have a buddy that ran a 200 shot for over a year on a bolted LS1 with no problems. I personaly ran a smaller untuned 100 shot on a 2000 TA with only a cat back and intake for about 2 months before i went turbo and had no problems.

Every one has there owne limit as to where they fill safe at, but i would say that a well bolted car with a good tune could run a 150 shot for some time with out any problems.
